INTERNATIONAL TRADE
Successful international trade lobbying requires building relationships
with the U.S. Trade Representative and other trade-related agencies,
the House Ways and Means Committee, and the Senate Finance Committee.
Steve Whitaker has served as a professional staff member on the House
Ways and Means Trade Subcommittee and has advised Members of Congress
on the operation of U.S. trade laws, international trade agreements,
and intellectual property rights. He has helped clients reduce
tariffs worldwide, obtained refunds of unwarranted customs duties,
changed tariff classifications, expedited customs clearances, and helped
with export-control applications.
